Binding detail:
Blind-stamped brown leather on front and back boards, entirely replaced at the spine. Three-line blind fillets to the edges, with a panel made from Gibson roll XVI (Oldham HM.h(3)), enclosing diaper decoration in small size made of three-line blind fillets. Fleuron cornerpieces to the panel-frame. The roll was, according to Pearson, Oxford, in use in that university town between c. 1555 and c. 1565.
